OVERVIEW:

Directs all aspects of information technology systems within the organization, including computer software, hardware, network security, and helpdesk support. Collaborates with many departments to ensure business information is secure and accessible so business operations run efficiently. Oversees and manages all technical employees related to all IT functions of the organization. Manages all IT projects based on IT allocated resource budget.  

 

JOB DUTIES: 

·         Coordinate and manage the daily activities of the IT department to support business objectives

·         Understand work flow processes across departments to identify and present opportunities to improve efficiencies and costs

·         Set priorities for the IT team to ensure task completion and measurable results

·         Perform and communicate benefit analysis to support decision making efforts

·         Conduct performance evaluations with team, from which you can provide direction in creating and executing development plans

·         Develop succession planning process for both human and technical resources

·         Establish departmental goals that align with the goals and objectives of the company

·         Establish individual goals that align with the departmental goals and objectives of the company

·         Assist IT team members to achieve individual goals and commitments

·         Operate within the budgetary/financial objectives set by the Director

·         Build customer relationships for both internal and external customers

·         Cross collaborate with all departments to assess business needs and share key learning

·         Work/brainstorm with IT team and provide suggestions for solutions that contain the appropriate level of risk; ensure work team understands and supports the focus on operational excellence

·         Evaluate proposals and make recommendations to senior management on the best and most cost-effective method of meeting company goals.

·         Responsible for the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies, standards and methodologies.

·         Monitor and report to manager on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

·         Perform in a firm but fair management style that effectively plans and sets priorities, assigns accountability, and consistently follows up to ensure that key business objectives are accomplished.

·         Manage server, database and storage design, operation and support, and/or network and telecommunication design, operation and support and/or system application problems and development of any web application systems

·         Demonstrate ability to manage requirements volatility, integrity and continuity via change management and reprioritization.

·         Demonstrate ability to use structured and disciplined approaches to solving technical problems.

·         Flexibility - Leads a team of resources providing 24x7 on call support. Must be available 24x7 for the escalation of application and environment issues. May be required to work different shifts periodically for major deployments and special events.

·         Communication – Effectively and timely communicate to all levels of internal and external customers using appropriate means of communication.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or related technical discipline, and 5+ years of Windows Server operating systems experience (2008 is a plus).

·         5 years managing an IT staff in a fast paced environment.

·         Proficient with Active Directory domain administration and the implementation/maintenance of support services in an AD environment.

·         Understanding of backup and restore procedures. (Backup Exec a plus)

·         Microsoft  Exchange Experience (2010 a plus)

·         Firewall and VPN experience (Sonicwall a plus)

·         Web development experience a plus

·         Any Microsoft Certifications a plus

·         Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

·         Ability to work independently when needed.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·         Ability to organize and manage multiple projects

·         Strong documentation and writing skills
