Human Resources Generalist

Job Description: 

 

Performs full-service HR generalist duties (routine and non-routine), responsible for implementing the company’s human resources program for specific site locations by providing support to managers and employees, including staffing, training and development, records management, employee relations and retention, and regulatory compliance. Serves as a liaison for corporate HR with area and department managers.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates, administers appropriate assessments, conducts reference/background checks, and makes recommendations for hire according to established company hiring procedures.
  • Maintains employee personnel records in accordance with corporate HR policy and ensures confidentiality of employee information.
  • Conducts orientations for new employee; ensures new hires receive all of the company’s policies, manuals, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Coaches managers and supervisors regarding performance management process, procedures.
  • Provides leadership for the regional HR initiatives
  • Provides day-to-day guidance, coaching and support to local and regional managers on a range of HR, employee relations issues such as recruitment, selections; staffing development/coaching; discrimination; harassment; performance management; attendance; disciplinary counseling. 
  • Conducts investigations
  • Plans, implements positive impacting employee program initiatives to help shape the culture.
Job requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 4-6 years Human Resources Generalist experience required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated successful track record in high volume recruitment
  • Strong program planning and organizational skills
  • Track record of effective leadership skills
