I couldn't get the crickets to sing properly when placed in the dumbek so I recorded them where they seemed more comfortable (in the grass) and then re-amped them through a wireless speaker placed in the dumbek which I recorded with a small diaphragm condenser. When I blended the dumbeked crickets back into the original mix it was just what I was looking for. I've been exploring using small hollow spaces with a small speaker placed inside and resonant material placed against speakers to create some interesting sounds for my next EP. non-formal garments for wedding in short length
